This is an interesting book of drawings of nineteenth century native americans from various tribes by George Catlin. More of Catlin’s work can be seen here, but I like the sketches, many of which were used for finished paintings.via BibliOdyssey
In-wheel electric motors

My thoughts on how a car should be designed involve using an electric motor for each wheel. This allows for maximum traction, while reducing lost energy significantly.
